Abstract:Objective To explore the intervention effect of narrative nursing on negative emotion and quality of life of nurses in emergency department.Methods A total of 60 nurses in the Department of Emergency of Jiujiang University Affiliated Hospital from January to August 2022 were selected as the research objects.According to different time periods,they were divided into the control group (from January to April 2022, n=30) and the observation group (from May to August 2022,n=30).The negative emotions,empathy ability,job burnout and quality of life were compared between the two groups before and after intervention.Results The scores of negative emotions such as somatization,interpersonal relationship,physical compulsion,anxiety,depression and hostility in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total scores of perspective taking,emotional nursing and empathy ability of nurses in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of depersonalization,no personal sense of achievement and emotional exhaustion of nurses in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The quality of life score of nurses in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Providing narrative nursing intervention for emergency nurses can help relieve the negative emotions of nurses,reduce job burnout,and improve empathy ability and quality of life.
