Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship between C-reactive protein (CRP)/albumin (ALB) ratio and the severity of acute pancreatitis (AP),and the influencing factors of the severity of acute pancreatitis.Methods A total of 98 patients with AP in Beijing Chuiyangliu Hospital from January 2017 to February 2019 were selected as the research object.They were divided into MAP group (46 cases) and SAP group (52 cases) by light and heavy classification of AP.The levels of CRP and ALB in each group were detected by automatic biochemical analyzer.The general data,CRP,ALB and CRP/ALB levels of MAP group and SAP group were compared.Logistic regression was used to analyze the multiple factors affecting the severity of AP. Pearson method was used to analyze the correlation between serum CRP/ALB and APACHE Ⅱscore in patients with AP.Results The CRP,CRP/ALB,course of disease,APACHE Ⅱscores,and the proportions of liver dysfunction,renal dysfunction,ARDS and pancreatic necrosis in SAP group were higher than those in MAP group,and ALB level was lower than MAP group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was a positive correlation between serum CRP/ALB and APACHE Ⅱscore on the day of admission (r=0.651, P<0.05).Multivariate logistic analysis showed that CRP/ALB (β=0.88, OR=2.42,95%CI=1.32-4.43) was independent risk factor for the development of severe AP,and ALB (β=-0.17, OR=0.85,95%CI=0.76-0.94) was the protective factor for the development of severe AP (P<0.05).Conclusions The CRP/ALB ratio is related to the severity of AP,and it is an independent risk factor for the development of severe AP.
